Until 1986, curtains were traditionally threaded. But then came HINNO Clic – and with it the world’s first click-in curtain glider.
It caused a huge stir when Alfred S. Heinrich launched the Clic Glider in 1986: For the very first time, curtains could simply be clicked into the track instead of the time-consuming threading process. A revolution at the time!
The name HINNO…
The Clic Glider also marked the “birth” of HINNO. And the company name, fitting for the product, was a concept: H for the developer and company founder Alfred S. Heinrich, INNO for “Innovations” – together making HINNO.
… and the innovations
The drive for innovation still drives HINNO today. We want to make the work of interior decorators easier, faster, and more efficient. In both large and small ways.
Today, the Clic Glider is part of an innovative complete solution for curtain accessories. This also includes many special products such as the CLIC ASSIST click-in aid or the CLIC RELEASE release pliers, as well as extensive free services – such as the supplier finder and the marketing material platform for interior decorators and specialist retailers.

Quality above all else
“We’d rather not deliver at all than deliver poor quality,” states company owner Leo Demetz. It’s no coincidence that the Clic Glider is still considered today – despite many imitators – the gold standard, the “Original” in Swiss brand quality.
It is therefore also used by the automotive industry in buses, trucks, and caravans. And in areas where curtains are regularly cleaned and therefore durable quality and quick handling are particularly important: such as in hotels and hospitals. Especially since the Clic Gliders and hooks can be easily washed in a washing machine or dry-cleaned.
Sustainability as part of HINNO’s DNA
For HINNO, sustainability is not just lip service: Our products are manufactured exclusively with green electricity, and the Clic Gliders even 100% with in-house solar power. And: As the first and so far only company in the industry, we have switched to fully recyclable paper packaging with an eco-label.
