There are special reasons for punching notches quickly and accurately with CLIC RELEASE notching pliers to enable trip limiters to be fitted, even in already-mounted curtain tracks.
Make room for the stoppers: There are two essential advantages to CLIC RELEASE that make it so fast, convenient and accurate to the millimetre:
Freely-selectable angle to the curtain rail
The pliers do not have to be held parallel to the rail when notching. Thanks to the rotatable punching head, the most convenient angle is easy to select for curtain tracks that have not yet been installed (full punches) and for ones already mounted (half punches).
Automatic latching mechanism
Half punch heads for notching in pre-mounted curtain rails are also fitted with a small, movable brass pin. After punching the first half, the punch head is turned 180 degrees and reinserted into the rail. The brass bolt snaps into the pre-punched half and thus guarantees that the second half is released exactly opposite the first (video from sec. 36).
CLIC RELEASE punching heads were specially developed for CLIC STOP stoppers/intermediate trip limiters, and are available for all common curtain track sizes. There is also a hole punch head available for screws (diameter: 2.6 mm).
